    Description

    You are viewing two cute vintage ceramic bear figures made by Samoth Ceramics of Oakland, California.  Please note that the standing bear has flaws.  It stands approximately 3 1/3" tall and measures 5 1/4" long.  Both front paws and one back paw have chips which have been glazed over.  The glaze is a darker brown but shiny so I am not sure if it was done by the original maker or glazed later.  It is marked with a "2" and "Samoth" on the bottom of the feet.  The sitting bear is 3 3/4" tall and 4" from butt to nose.  I do not detect any damage on this piece.  It is marked "Samoth 1" on the bottom.  I cannot find many examples of pottery from this company so I will be listing this item with no reserve.  Please feel free to ask any questions.  Thanks for viewing and good luck.
